The award-winning travel magazine and website Dream of Italy was founded in 2002 by Italian travel expert Kathy McCabe. The television series Dream of Italy premiered on public television in 2015.  Season 1, Season 2, Season 3 and Dream of Italy: Tuscan Sun Special , Dream of Italy: Travel, Transform and Thrive, are ALL currently airing and repeating on PBS, Passport streaming and CreateTV. The first season of McCabe new PBS series Dream of Europe began airing in January 2025.  The Dream of Italy Podcast premiered in 2019 and was named as “13 Podcasts For Wandering Souls” by The New York Times in 2020. Kathy was profiled in The New York Times in 2015.
