An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 24 of January, repeating indefinitely
A lot of the gourmet cuisine we know today is a revamped version of famine food that people used to make just to survive in the past and the lumaca is no exception. Lumaca, which means snail in Italian, is the protagonist in this yearly five-day festival in Moiano, Umbria. Visitors can enjoy the massaie’s (local farmer’s wives’) homemade cooking who use this not-so-secret ingredient in their cooking along with many other local products. The event also offers live music performances, dancing, and kid-friendly activities!
