An event every year that begins at 2:00 pm on day last of May, repeating indefinitely
Since 1993, vineyards all over Italy have opened their cellars on the last Sunday in May (or, in some regions, the first two days of June), encouraging direct contact with wine lovers. From tastings to tours in the vineyards, there will be many initiatives from the Alps to Mount Etna that will celebrate wine. Open Cellars has over time become a philosophy, a way of traveling and discovering the territories of Italian wine, which sees more and more tourists, enthusiasts and wine lovers get close to the wineries every year. Besides the chance to taste wines and buy them directly from the farm, you can enter the cellars to discover the secrets of wine making and refining. The event’s website lists the wineries and regions that are participating in the event this year.
