Day 12: Bramasole, which means to “yearn for the sun,” is the villa made famous by Frances Mayes in her book Under the Tuscan Sun. (Another villa in Cortona “played” the original in the movie.) Still nearly 30 years after the bestselling memoir was first published, visitors from around the world walk by this pink-peach villa in Cortona to pay homage to the book, the movie and the dream of Tuscany!
