Set amid lush rolling hills between the towns of Pisa and Volterra, Lajatico features striking street murals everywhere you turn. Once largely owned by the Medici family, Lajatico is now known as the birthplace of Bocelli and home to the maestro’s Teatro del Silenzio, as well as roughly 1,300 residents. The Andrea Bocelli Foundation was founded in Lajatico, though its headquarters are now in Florence.
