Rome: Estate Romana

If you’re looking for something to fill a summer night in Rome, look to Estate Romana. The summer festival hosts over 150 events and takes place all over Rome’s parks, squares and art galleries film screenings in various historic and beautiful venues such as Isola Tiberina, Villa Lazzaroni and Arena della Biblioteca Renato Nicolini. Other events include concerts, sports, children’s games, and theatre performances and this year’s Shakespeare Horror Story offers the crowd a full immersion experience exploring the darkest most cruel stories of the English writer.

The Classical Concert Under the Stars is part of this festival, presenting music by classical composers like Bach and Mozart in the gardens of Mussolini’s former home.
