Having served as the shooting location for several movies with its dramatic seaside castle, Ischia, in the Gulf of Naples, hosts an annual film festival to honor films that have celebrated and promoted Italian and foreign location and culture. The festival’s feature-length and short films all have a central theme of location: films that emphasize the importance of a particular location, pay homage to a country or culture, or showcase the history and environment of a place.
