Day 18: Florence’s Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone bridge spanning the river Arno. It was the only bridge in Florence spared from destruction during World War II. The Ponte Vecchio it is noted for the shops built along it and for the Vassari Corridor that the Medici family built along the top. Kathy and Florentine Federico Bonechi get a unique vantage point from a renaiolo going underneath the bridge.
