Day 15: Corradino D’Ascanio, a brilliant engineer from the town of Popoli in the region of Abruzzo, designed the iconic Vespa scooter for Piaggio in 1946, making Popoli the birthplace of the world-famous Italian two-wheeler, a symbol of post-war freedom. Kathy joined the Popoli Vespa Club for a ride to the Valle Reale Winery.
