Day 13: The Nero Lucano pig is an endangered, native black pig breed from Southern Italy’s Basilicata region, known for its adaptability, rustic nature, and rich, flavorful meat used in high-quality cured products like salumi. Antico Suino Nero Lucano in Basilicata is a farm dedicated to raising these rare pigs. Proprietor Vito Rago makes sure the pigs live a beautiful life on his farm.
