Bolzano, in the Dolomites, and Trani, in Puglia, are so different in many ways but alike in plenty others. Hotel Spotlight: Rome’s Singer Palace Hotel
The luxurious, colorful Singer Palace Hotel — yes, as in Singer sewing machines — is a great pick for all types of travelers, including families. Its location in Rome couldn’t be better: easy walking distance from the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. To top the experience off (literally), the rooftop bar dazzles with a 1920s-inspired drinks menu.
Dream Day: Asinara
Once a prison, the island of Asinara off the coast of Sardinia has now been returned to the land. Wild donkeys and other fauna roam free, and visitors can get up close to nature whether on land or underwater in the crystal-blue sea.
