Also called the Carolino Aqueduct, this hydraulic engineering marvel built by Vanvitelli was modeled after Roman aqueducts and spans 25 miles and supplied water to Reggia di Caserta. The aqueduct is mostly underground, save for the Ponte della Valle bridge, which brought goods and supplies to the palace. The bridge is open to the public and makes for a nice walk.
