The Antinori family has been making wine for 26 generations, since 1385. We met Allegra Antinori at Cantinetta Antinori in Palazzo Antinori, which the family originally purchased from the Medici. Allegra and her two sisters are carrying on the family tradition – unusual in Italy, as the family business is traditionally handed down to sons. This is a great place to taste the family’s wines and traditional Tuscan cuisine. Cantinetta Antinori is at Piazza degli Antinori, 3 and open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.
