Second Season of Dream of Italy on PBS In The Works

I know so many of you are enjoying the first season of Dream of Italy which continues to air on PBS stations and Create TV around the country through May 2017. The season is expected to air a staggering 20,000 times on broadcast TV (you can watch it online too). Viewers are eager for season two and boy, do I have great news about that – iconic Hollywood director Francis Ford Coppola will join me in his ancestral hometown for an episode on the magical, mystical southern Italian region of Basilicata. Coppola doesn’t do much TV but feels very strongly about Italy and his ancestral roots there.

As you may know, our show (and most PBS programming) is completely funded by corporate sponsors. Viator, Ama Waterways and Perillo Tours generously provided the underwriting for season one. I’m in the midst of completing sponsorships for season two so we can get this show on the road. Sponsors receive messaging before and after every airing for two years – broadcast and online – and many other marketing benefits. I can’t reveal yet but we have several great companies already signed and yes, there are incredibly affordable options for smaller companies to join as sponsors as well.

To complete our funding, I’m asking you – my network – if you own or work for a company who would be interested in reaching the affluent, educated, curious, traveling, brand-loyal PBS audience? It doesn’t have to be travel or food/wine related, many insurance, financial services, consumer products companies very much want to reach this valuable, targeted demographic. You can reach me through our contact page for more information on sponsorships. Grazie! –Kathy McCabe
