Women-Only Beaches to Open in Adriatic Resort

In order to accomodate a growing number of Muslim tourists, officials in an Italian Adriatic resort town plan to create women-only beaches, according to The London Telegraph. The project in the town of Riccione, 90 miles east of Florence, will allow women to remove their headscarves and robes in privacy. Paritions will be erected to keep the women out of sight of men, as is dictated by religious custom. The 5-star Grand Hotel des Bains will open the town’s first women-only beach next month.
